Notable Era — The Juande Ramos / Monchi Years
Sevilla's modern golden era began in the mid-2000s under sporting director Ramón "Monchi" Rodríguez Verdejo and head coach Juande Ramos. The club assembled a squad featuring Dani Alves, Adriano Correia, Ivica Dragutinović, Christian Poulsen, Frédéric Kanouté, and Luís Fabiano, winning consecutive UEFA Cups in 2006 and 2007 together with the Copa del Rey in 2007. The model — careful scouting, low-cost signings, profitable resales — became widely studied in European football.
