Leicester City sacked Claudio Ranieri. That’s shocking news, as the Italian manager brought a lot of glory for The Foxes. They lifted the trophy in The Premier League last campaign, and even though they weren’t persuasive enough this season, Leicester City were showing a wonderful performance in The Champions League.
The Foxes won their Group G and made it to the Round of 16 for the first time in their history. Moreover, they achieved a good result in their visit to Sevilla, scoring an away goal! I don’t think that was the right decision, because there is a very little time until the end of the season and no matter who is appointed for a manager, he is going to struggle a lot.
Such decisions are crucial for the future of the clubs, especially when is taken in such a stage of the campaign. With the dismissal of Ranieri, I think that Leicester City are bound to be eliminated of The Champions League! As regards to the relegation battle, it will be very difficult for The Foxes, who will need to adjust to a new playing style with the new head coach. In my opinion, they are going to relegate, exactly because this stupid action from the board!
